I just picked up a SS catback exhaust that needs a little tweaking and I may want to replace the tips...

Are there any shops you would recommend?

If you want it TIG welded, there are very few shops that do that, and I don't believe it's cheap. MIG, anywhere should be able to handle it. I know EAG has a welder they call in, and I've had him and Midas on Kingston Pike beside Pellissippi do work for me. Midas actually cut the Cobb muffler and hangers off my catback and welded them onto my Magnaflow universal muffler, then welded it to the axleback piping. They also installed my Vibrant resonator in the midpipe a few months later.

I also know of a guy through autocross that has been welding on the side for awhile. He drilled and welded an O2 bung into an Invidia for one guy.

One of those idiots did a shit job from what I told him to do. Found out later he left 2 sizable holes in the flange he welded and was too dumb to cut all the taper off my Cobb downpipe. $40 wasted.

Thanks for the info all! I can manage basic welds (MIG that is), but would like to find someone who actually knows whet they are doing. I've seen some pretty rough hack jobs on exhaust systems and would like to avoid that. I know Mark does some pretty dang nice welding, but his scheduling is hell sometimes. I'll check out some of those options!

There may be no welding to actually be done.....the exhaust was on a car that was in a rear end collision and the drivers side muffler has been bent downwards. Hopefully it just requires a little heating and some muscle...
